Spring time Low Tide...
Our June adventure to West Seattle

We love driving on a sunny day and just seeing where we end up.
Earlier this month we had a free warm Seattle day and we were dying to get out as a family and enjoy it together. It had been a while and we had no idea what to do or where to go?
OK, lets just get in the car and see where the road takes us! First stop is always coffee and then off we go, heading down the freeway, looking for adventure....hahaha!

For some reason we ended up heading towards Seattle, the kids were excited to see the city, we drove through town and decided to head to the beach...where else do you go on a perfect sunny day! And what better Seattle Beach than Alki!

We arrived out at Alki to discover it was low LOW tide...OMG it was the lowest we had ever seen it! We just had to find a place to park so we could go exploring. Yeah right, the place was packed so we drove around the point, still crowded. We ended up at some little place over there, not to sure what it was called.

The boys had a ball!!! With bucket and spade in hand they were excited to see what they could find and collect. Crabs, Shells, Kelp, Barnicles more crabs and lots of rocks! The area where we played was usually covered by water, so it was quite a unique experience!

The boys found a huge monster truck tire that was full of water and had a few baby fish caught in it, a starfish, some crabs, lots of shells and a sea anemone...very cool!
