Don't turn your back....
A bottle of dawn, a kiddie pool and two mischievous monkey's!

I guess bubbles do equal fun and if that's the case then these two boys were having Sooooo much fun! You know how condensed dawn liquid is in the kitchen sink, just a cap full right? Well imagine a whole bottle (costco size non the less!) It was crazy! These pictures don't do the mess justice...lol!

This week is going to be beautiful!!! Sunny and hot. Perfect time to break out the pool and get the backyard all setup for a week of summer fun! Well I guess it will be a week of clean fun too....hahaha! sorry couldn't resist =)

BATH Time Buddies!

Nothing like a splash in a tub full of bubbles, at the end of a busy and fun day!
What a weekend...Sunshine, Friends and Laughs!
Party time at the Rule's!

Plenty of sunshine was beaming this weekend, making it perfect for BBQing with friends. Mid 80's with a pleasant breeze, out on the patio under the wisteria...perfect. A little on the hot side, which made it all the more fun for the kids to get wet with spray bottles and the sprinkler.
We had a full house, lots of laughs, yummy "happy" drinks consisting mainly of Malibu and Dave's grilling...mmm Hot dogs, burgers and don't forget the good old Aussie shrimp! We tried to give our friends a taste of an Aussie Barbie! But as sad as it is our biggest claim to fame here is Fosters beer and "throw a shrimp on the barbie" hahaha! I had planned on making a Pavlova but will leave that story for another time....ha!

My baby is growing up....
Thomas and his last month of being 3!
Its so exciting to see my boys grow and develop into such great little guys! But do they have to do it so fast? Now that school is over for the year I have been starting to plan our summer.

July is just around the corner and Thomas will be turning 4...OMG even typing that brings a lump to the throat. Don't grow up!!!

At present we have no plans to have a 3rd baby, so I feel like Thomas will be forever my baby! I know I need to let go, give him space and let him grow into a big independant boy. Can I help it though if I still want snuggles, or sing silly little baby songs to him or just want him to come to me when he is upset. Yeah I know, even typing that, I sound really over the top. Just let him grow up!

Here are some things that Thomas is up to....
Still loves playing with my hair when he is tired.
Loves cars and trucks, favorite today is a little yellow school bus!
Is having a great time reading/spelling small words, he loves his letters.
We had a lost bunny at our place for a few days and he called it his baby! Fed it celery and wanted to take it for a ride on his trike.
Still wears his red truck boots and will not wear any other shoes, even though its summer and they are falling apart and completely icky! He loves them and will call them pretty.
He has beautiful manners, especially when he doesn't want to do something, he says "No thank you!" to bed...lol!
Thomas loves watching, Transformers, Sponge Bob, Word World old school Garfield and is favorite movie is Annie, sings the songs....so cute!
His best buds are Noah, Derick and Jordan. Not to mention all their mommies he calls mommy too!
He has really been cracking me up lately with his mannerisms...

Don't grow up!

Spring time Low Tide...
Our June adventure to West Seattle

We love driving on a sunny day and just seeing where we end up.
Earlier this month we had a free warm Seattle day and we were dying to get out as a family and enjoy it together. It had been a while and we had no idea what to do or where to go?
OK, lets just get in the car and see where the road takes us! First stop is always coffee and then off we go, heading down the freeway, looking for adventure....hahaha!

For some reason we ended up heading towards Seattle, the kids were excited to see the city, we drove through town and decided to head to the beach...where else do you go on a perfect sunny day! And what better Seattle Beach than Alki!

We arrived out at Alki to discover it was low LOW tide...OMG it was the lowest we had ever seen it! We just had to find a place to park so we could go exploring. Yeah right, the place was packed so we drove around the point, still crowded. We ended up at some little place over there, not to sure what it was called.

The boys had a ball!!! With bucket and spade in hand they were excited to see what they could find and collect. Crabs, Shells, Kelp, Barnicles more crabs and lots of rocks! The area where we played was usually covered by water, so it was quite a unique experience!

The boys found a huge monster truck tire that was full of water and had a few baby fish caught in it, a starfish, some crabs, lots of shells and a sea anemone...very cool!

June in My Garden....

Everything is green and lush! The hydrangeas are just starting to bloom, the daisies are out and the roses are back! Even my fuchsias are doing surprisingly well considering they are the first success I have ever had with "starts" always die after a few weeks. But not these, I've had them for a few months and are blooming at long last...yay! I just purchased some real pretty pink geraniums for next to the front porch, the lavender didn't do well there so we will see how these do?
Swimming class fun!

The boys have been taking swimming classes this term and loving it! They've been taking swimming classes at Hazen High School and is run by the senior student swim team. The kids teaching are great and the boys love it! Even if at times it is more just pool time fun, splashing and playing with the other kids. We have just signed both boys up for summer swim camp which starts tomorrow every weekday for 2 weeks....woo hoo!

Harry has graduated and is now in the next level. Way to go Harry! They are both doing well with going under the water and kicking, but both hate laying on their backs as the water gets in their ears. They can't stand it! We'll see how they go next session.

Last day of Kindergarten!
He is growing up way too fast...please stay innocent and sweet forever!

Here is Harry on his last day of school with his Kindy teacher Mrs. Wilson, we are going to miss her so much!
Here Harry is being presented with his Kindergarten certificate and a special certificate awarding him most helpful student in class.
Missing teeth!
Look at that gorgeous smile....

After 3 years of the Renton Moms Group!
I have officially stepped down as an organizer....what a ride!

It seems like a lift time ago that 5 organizers formed an organizer group to get the Renton Moms Group up and going. The above article was our first media coverage 5mths after the group was started...look how little the kids are, cute!

So many wonderful memories and even more wonderful friendships have been made through the RMG! The moms I have met are some of the most amazing women I have ever met and I am so grateful for the friendships, the laughs and the support.

Its exciting to take part in the group now as just a member and to enjoy the fun!

Field Day Fun!

It is nearly the end of the school year and the learning is winding down some. Today Harry had a full day of field events.....how fun!!! Loads of really fun gross motor activities for the kids to do by class and then broken down into smaller teams. I rocked up with Thomas to catch a bit of the excitement and arrived just as Harry was about to take his turn in a relay race. He loved it and was so excited to show off, I was so proud of him! Just another reason why I love Bryn Mwar Elementary.
